I have a hundred rounds of 30-06 sabots using a .22 projectile and I think a hundred or so of the sabots to reload new rounds. The 55 grainers weren’t very accurate, so bought the sabots alone to try some heavier bullets, but haven’t gotten around to making up any loads yet.
I used to have a Wycliffe single shot rifle in .308 Win that shot these OK. The only .308 Win I have now is my M1A and I don’t want to run these through that gun. At some point, I will get another .308 Win.

That would be an incredibly thin piece of plastic. Might be so thin it wouldn't handle the seating process.

Got the bit in my teeth now. It's only $12 for a package of 100 .22 to .308 sabots. I'm going to try reaming some of those out from .223 to .264 with my mini drill press.

Awesome let me know how it goes. I've got two bags of those as well, always had intentions of loading some .223 55gr barnes into my 30-378WBY for giggles but have yet to do it lol. Probably had those two bags for 15y now lol.
