Ive put over 600,000 miles in 3 gmc 4x4 trucks 95 with 350, 99 with 350, 2010 with 6.2. What ive learned is every increase change in octane 87, 89, 91, 93 my trucks got better gas mileage, the increased price in each octane was equal to total fuel cost no matter which octane burned.

Tis truly amazing what the government requires from the auto manufacturers and green energy movement forced upon the public always goes against physics and mechanical engineering.

Green battery powered vehicles bought to save money on the purchasing of dinosaur fuels cost the individual for the lacking technology at the time of purchase, the installation of the charging device, the taxes on the fuel you are not purchasing anymore by paying a road tax and the astronomical cost of battery replacement including hazmat fees for disposal.

I could write a book...

Almost all my cars require 91. Forced induction is almost standard to meet emissions and mpg requirements, but it’ll be years before the older 87 octane NA cars start coming off the road, so 1 fuel to rule them all is probably a ways down the road.

the only problem with buying 1 or 2 gallons of 91 is that it comes out of the same hose as 87 does at most places and your probably getting 87 for the first gallon. I only mix a gallon of 2 stroke gas at a time because I just don't use much and I hate it setting around going bad. The 93 at 7-11 has its own hose so that might be a better deal.
