85 mph in Texas

That loop road through Hutto has been there a while. The 85 mph section are new segments that just opened today. It extends eat of I-35 and catches I-10 into San Antonio:

I was not aware that Texas had a speed limit. Every time I'm there doing 90 and getting passed

Another big plus to the speed limit increase seems to be the limit in the amount the speeding ticket will get you. 95 is now only 10 over the limit. With 70 you were 25 over and may get wreckless driving...

About 3 years ago I accidentally went through a gate on the GW Bush toll road. I called about it the next monday and the lady said for #1. there was construction on the toll road so no cameras were used and no violations would be issued and #2. you are out of state and "we" dont issue citations on out of state tags.

Feeling guilty and trying to avoid a hefty fine I was calling about trying to pay for my mistake. The lady told me I did not owe them anything and I would not be responsible for any charges. Granted I was happy for the news I still did not believe her and called again a week later but was told the same thing.
