I have the Hi Point 9mm and 40 S&W carbines, and for the money you cant beat them. Mine have been 0 problem firearms from the start and they keep going and going like the Energizer bunny.
Only bad thing is you are limited to 10 rd mags on the 40, and the 995 has an aftermarket ProMag 15 rd mag that has given a lot of people a lot of trouble, although I hear that the newer made ones are doing better.
