I spent a little time with the bender, welder and grinder. These are some sliders I built for a Tacoma.

The bender is a JD2 Model 4 Hydraulic. The mig welder is a Lincoln 255c.

You know a lot of car/truck doors curve in at the bottom, right? I had nerf bars on my previous truck and still got door dings. Your project looks great, though.

I purchased mine with the intent of building myself some bumpers and sliders for my K5. I built my stuff then others wanted me to build them stuff so I was able to pay for my equipment doing so.

You know a lot of car/truck doors curve in at the bottom, right? I had nerf bars on my previous truck and still got door dings. Your project looks great, though.

Yeah, it sits high enough to block a stock z71 and most cars, but anything taller, it wont help. I angled these up so they are slightly higher than the rocker panel. They are about .75 inch below the bottom of the door when you open them. They are a lot higher off the ground than factory built nerf bars
