I would like to weigh in here simply because OK is not the first state that I have held a ccw.
Personally, I really like the way things are set up here. I think the class is important and instills a good sense of responsibility in the students.
The last state I lived in required no class or evaluation other than a background check over a 6 week wait.
Heck, in PA it takes a total of 1 hour from application to permit in hand.
