AK over AR?

Im thinking about getting an AK but are they really as good as die hard AK fans make them out to be. The AR, AK, mosin thread that can b found on google really knoks ARs when i know there great rifles, bc i own one, i also have a mosin and no complaints, but is an AK really a better than an AR overall?

The answer to your question is no. They are both fine weapons and each of them have strengths/weaknesses, but there is no way to say one is "better" than the other.

Dude lets be honest. No. All an AK-47 is is the most proliferated working 30 caliber rifle.

And just because everyone has one doesn't make something the best. If you're trying to argue Ford vs. Chevy, I'll make the case for the stealth bomber.

Personal preference. I like the AK better; my brother would rather have an AR.

Get a couple of each, that's how to solve the debate.

If I had to own just one it would be my FAL. But to answer you question, it is personal preference.

This debate has really gotten out of hand. The choice of which is better depends almost exclusively on the shooter's competence with the weapon system.

Pick one, shoot and train with it to proficiency.
Repeat the process with the other one.
Then decide which one, if not both, satisfies your requirements.
