No television here. Poor me (LOL).
I haven' seen a whole lot of TV things on the militias.
What I've seen on the mainstream medias and mostly on the internet, is a bunch of old fat guys running drills.
I've thought a lot about the militias since watching those, and it was prior to Timmothy Mcveign taking out the Murrah Building in a revenge thing for another debacle by our government.
What I finally researched and realized is that not all "militias" are the same in their goals/visions about where they should be in respect to the current times.
Some took on a hatred for Ruby Ridge, and some formed to hate Waco. Both debacles of the US gubberment.
I kind of got into looking into who are these folks running these drills?
I didn't find a lot of "trailer trash" folks. Yeah there are some of them that like to posture in front of the camera's, but on the other side there was a lot of them that are upstanding citizens that had a like mind about how to correct and fix thing should the SHTF. Veterans, professional folks, blue collar workers, and the list goes on.
All of this being said, it sure sounds like OSA is a "milita" with what I see from the posts on this forum.
Maybe not in other opinions, and mine is just a rambling thing that cropped up, but none the less. OSA does kind of fit the description.

I think OSA is less like a militia, and more like a three ring circus run from the monkey tent. With lots of clowns....
With lots of clowns that happen to be armed to the teeth.......and have allot of boating accidents.
Exactly what the main stream militias are.
There's an idea! I should be selling boating insurance to gun-owners! Or is it gun insurance to boaters? Gun insurance to boat-owning clowns?
sell clowns to insurance owning guns.
