I look at it this way, it's only a matter of time till New York and California don't even allow the police to have firearms. Then they can just turn the area's in to prison colonies and the rest of us can get on with our lives.

Well don't you find it a bit ironic that the entity that the 2A was written to protect us from is strictly regulating our access to firearms?

has there ever been a time as a country when there were no laws related to firearms, though? i honestly don't know. i have to imagine there have always been some laws on the books once ownership became more common

Yes Sir, prior to the NFA of 1934 there were no federal firearms laws. with that said... i'm calling for new federal laws on your ability to earn a living.

I don't think all firearm laws are unconstitutional, just the ones that infringe on your right to own and carry firearms. Which is the vast majority of them. Instant background checks don't infringe on your rights unless they are delayed. Then again, the only people who could be denied are those who aren't covered by the constitution, so maybe just non-citizens or maybe those with an arrest warrant pending. Age laws might also be constitutional since you don't have all rights when underage. But I think the handgun age being 21 instead of 18 might be unconstitutional. Can't think of any more off the top of my head, but there are a few gun laws that could be constitutional.

I was just wondering how everyone feels about law enforcement officers who are willing to enforce these laws.

I am really curious to know more about what happened during that stop. I am pretty sure it was a little more than: I pulled you over for a bad light, do you have a gun? Let me count the rounds in the magazine, your going to jail. So far we have one side of it from a pretty biased place.

For the most gun laws are unconstitutional crowd, if legislative branch makes the law, executive branch signs the law, and judicial branch upholds the law it is officially constitutional. You may not agree with it but it has passed all the checks and balances of constitutionality
