Still a nice shot but with the sights on a Vaquero it probably would not have been made except by sheer luck.

Heart shot, not head shot. The contest was based on the Hickock/Tutt duel, where Hickock put a .36 caliber ball through Tutt's heart from 75 yards with one shot.
Since this ain't Dodge City, and we ain't Bill Hickock, I stretched the rules a bit and gave everyone 5 shots and it didn't have to be a cap and ball revolver. Closest shot to the heart was the winner.

The head shot and lower left hip shot were from my 1858 Remington Navy. The two shoulder shots were from my 1851 Colt Navy. My best shot was with my Colt Woodsman .22.

Notice how the .36 caliber holes look more than twice as big as the .22 holes.
