I lived not too far from Boring. Used to always drive through on the way up to go shooting up at Wildcat Mt. Also Miller's quarry. To bad BLM closed down Miller's quarry to shooting. Was one of my favorite spots up on Mt. Hood.
Bought my first big boy gun safe from a guy in boring. Nice area. Gotten quite expensive as Portland continues to expand out and it’s one of the areas with a lot larger properties for people who have the $.

Such a small world. Been to camp Yamhill numerous times for youth and church events. That area is sort of the beginning of the Trask Mountains. There’s another ranch out there too. Flying M or Flying H? Another cool place. I lived in a small town called Dayton just 30 min from there!
It's the Flying M ranch. Last time I was there was at least 25 years ago.

What’s up everyone! Originally from Oregon. But Oregon got so insane with their anti-liberty policies we finally packed up and moved to the reddest state in the union. Nine families in total left and we all ended up within a half hour of each other northeast of tulsa. We love it here. grateful to God we ended up here. A lot of people asked why Oklahoma and I tell them they should come here and find out. Patriotism in our schools, respect for police, lower cost of living. Anyways, glad to be here. If you have any questions about the socialist land of Oregon I’d be happy to answer 😃.
Welcome to Heaven, glad to have another like minded “new” Okie

Interesting thought this morning on this subject. Somewhere up the chain of command of ancestors was a relative, who came to Oregon as an immigrant, being a Okie Dustbowl emigrant. I guess now I am the emigrant from Oregon and an immigrant to OK- completing the circle and using both spellings.
It’s amazing how many people immigrated to Oregon from other states for the timber industry. My wife and I both have great grandparents that moved here to do logging work. Speaks volumes to how poorly Oregon is managed with severe wild fires every year destroying millions upon millions of dollars of good timber instead of logging and replanting just to appease the leftist tree huggers who have no idea how anything is made. But here we are, Oregon escapees living large in what I think is the free-est state in the “union”.
