I'm not sure about the rest of the T-Mobile Android phones, but as far as you and I, Rusty, being Samsung Vibrant users, Samsung has finally stated they'll be rolling out 2.2 at the end of November: http://www.examiner.com/gadgets-in-...royo-update-won-t-hit-u-s-until-late-november

This applies to all Galaxy S phones, not just T-Mobile/Samsung's Vibrant, so you too, Zombie.

yeah I heard it was pushed to the carriers to make their "adjustments" and then to push out across the board....

Nothing on mine yet, but I've got it rooted with Noobnl's andromeda ROM and andromeda Kernel and its SAILING along. (And the wireless tether isn't bad either)

I haven't done too much wireless other than using my wifi so far - too much time in other stuff to play a lot with the phone

I just hope they hurry up I want more battery life lol...and them to fix a couple little annoyances

TMO hasn't released 2.2 for existing phones. It's actually only on a couple of new release phones (G2). The OTA update was a bug-fix/enhancement SR for 2.1. I've been working with an engineer for TMO. i got it a while back to beta it. it's screwed up some of the older 1.6 Andro phones like the G1 and pre-3.5 mytouch. We're trying to figure it out now. They've got a couple of our "failures" from the update.
2.2 is due to roll out starting December, but it's a big list and will take up to three months to roll out.

Anybody else start having issues the other day with their Maps application?

Literally about every 10 seconds I would get a notification that Maps has encountered an error, and I wasn't even using it or anything else that utilizes Maps or even GPS (Actually, my daughter was watching Avatar while we were grocery shopping). So I hit my Task Killer button and it still kept popping up, so I rebooted my phone, still kept popping up.

I had to uninstall the Maps updates to get it to stop. Haven't reinstalled them nor researched it to see if it was a common error, but it was super annoying.

T-Mobile Vibrant (Galaxy S phone) running 2.1.
