I understand your point to a degree but still wonder what you would expect to be the result of Biden getting the blame. Would it make Republicans/conservatives or Trump liked more? Would it do anything to stem the calls we're seeing for more gun control? Would it put any more emphasis on solving the real issues of violence we're seeing in our society?
Only those outside Chicago, New York, Portland and Saint Louis. Those would not support the demoncrat/lame stream media narrative.
In reality the shooting did not involve assault rifles. That is the narrative of the leftist media that is wishing to change our gun society.
Assault rifles are M-16 full Auto or Select fire rifles only currently issued to the military or a few with Class III licenses.
The recent Senate confirmation hearings for the new ATF director proved the left didn't know what an assault weapon actually is as he couldn't answer what the definition of an Assault Weapon was. Was it by choice or by ignorance? We don't know, but the failure to define an assault weapon was demonstrative of a narrative or ignorance.
BTW, the original assault weapon was a match lock from the chinese thousands of years ago. Issued to only their military.
Our Revolutions assault weapon was a flintlock.
Assault weapons are constantly changing by the military. A huge percentage of our common rifle and pistol rounds were used as assault weapons over the years, evolving into the civilian market.
The British during the Revolutionary war said that rifled barrels that gave more accuracy were not fair on the battlefield against their smooth bores.
BTW, does anybody ever look at the FBI crime statistics about shootings/murder and what ethnic group is most responsible?
Folks may want to take a look at those and understand why gun crime is increasing in this day and time.

Ain't used to be verboten. It's now acceptable according to Webster because of popular usage, so using that therum AR's are now Assault rifles although they are not.
AR's are a derivative/offshoot of the M-16 which is an assault weapon by definition.

Perhaps. But at any rate, a police officer in some city somewhere is going to kill another unarmed black man. It's just a matter of time. And then the city will ignite. And it will be the Ice Cream Man's problem...
