Dems are forcing the ruination of currency to install their e-currency. Backed by China.

All electronic, government controlled

Your every purchase under government scrutiny and approval.
the republicans and the dems both share responsibility. most just didn't want the hurt to happen on their shift so they kicked the can down the road. both party got rich.

If a smart Republican got in or if the Republicans could get control of the Senate back, would they be able to reduce inflation and gas prices, and if yes, how?
Absolutely. We had a perfect example with Trump. Don't you remember how much gas was with Trump? What did he do? Remember on Biden's first day in office he reversed everything Trump did? Why did gas go up, because of Biden reversing Trump's executive orders. Why is this so hard for people to see?

Trump got .gov out of the way of energy production. The US was energy independent with Trump. Biden cancelled that and now we have over $4 gas and $5 dollar diesel. Energy prices drive the economy or kill it in this case. The cost of energy is a primary factory with the cost of goods. The cost of energy has gone up 300% under Biden. The cost of everything else is following.

I guess Biden is going to kill us all in the name of saving the planet.

Stop listening to the mass media!!!

Are you saying there is realistically no "easy fix" for this, and that even if the Republicans were in charge they could not make the USA go back to, say, 1-3 percent inflation per year at worst?
The way I see it, Biden’s handlers have begun a process that will take years and even decades to recover from. Energy would, by itself, take 1-2 yrs to rebuild. And that only if the threat of future gov’t hostility towards the industry were lifted. Which given climate concerns is not likely.

Inflation, and economic recovery will take longer. See Japan’s Lost Decade for that.

On inflation, that would require an austerity program that all nations resist. And our resistance would come from where? A population spoiled by self-indulgence and learned-gov’t dependance, which politicians willfully pursue?

Economic recovery would in-part depend on reclaiming production from abroad, a good deal of it from China. And we’re not stepping up to that in any meaningful way.

If you tuned into the Orwellian goings-on at the Davos World Economic Forum, you see that the economic elite globalists are gaining control over National Leader’s ability to focus on their own National Interests and the radical left in Biden’s Administration is carrying a white flag there.

Now, if magically, Biden, Harris, and that entire swamp of bloodsuckers could be replaced by a more nuanced Trump-like figure who surrounded himself with actual competence, and who could communicate to a Nation populated by 38% halfwits (at least) then you’d see a start.

But that would be magic. I don’t see any magic in our future. Especially when we’ve surrendered all the Institutions and tolerate cutting the teeth of our youth on self-loathing for every good thing that ever made us different from the rest of the world.

Like I said, it took Venezuela 35 years. Our problem is we can’t even look in the mirror and see an honest reflection. The decent people out here in the hinterlands who just keep there head down and raise families and work, and get along with their neighbors and co-workers have somehow been turned into outliers by a minority of elites.

Our biggest sin is that we’re too busy to lift our heads and inform ourselves about things that threaten us. If we ever did there would be hell to pay. And even then chaos would follow. Jan 6th would look like a Boy Scout Troop’s first scout meeting, and starting a business producing pitchforks and guillotines would be a smart business venture. Ugly, no matter how you look at it.

On the bright side, I could be wrong.

Government screws up everything they touch!
You just described a TOTALITARIAN REGIME! There are many names for this, type government, left, and right wing, Communism, Socialism, Faciaum, Globalism, and the American Democratic Party! Look up, if you are too young to remember Jimmy Carters administration! He did all the stuff on your list, to try and curb inflation, and they made it MUCH, MUCH, WORSE! 20%+ intrest rates on everything! no one could buy, or sell, anything! Gasoline/ Diesel Fuel rationing, prioces through the roof, out of control inflation, fuel prices effect absolutely EVERYTHING ELSE! Biden canceled all Presidet Trumps polocies that allowed us to be energy indepant for the first time in 50/60 years, under both sides leadership, on his VERY FIRST DAY IN OFFICE, ON NATION WIDE TV, REMEMBER? CRUDE OIL WAS $34.00 bbl. on ELECTION DAY 2020. TODAY IT IS $119.00 bbl! ENJOY WHAT YOU VOTED FOR, OR FAILED TO VOTE AGAINST!

Thank you for typing all that out.
The resistance to austerity here would be something very nasty I think.

Everyone wants “quick and painless” (for themselves) instead I think they are waiting for the other thing.
