GC has a lady friend (NO, not THAT kind of "lady friend"!! :D) She was always deadset against violence of any kind -- it was "uncivilized" and folks were "misunderstood". She's a lawyer and always thought she would just be able to talk her way out of anything that came along. (Hey, guys, I don't make the news, I just report it. And these were comments she made to me about herself.) One day her home was broken into. She now has her CCL and by golly, I don't think she'd bat an eye. Says the fact that she could have been home at the time scares the bejeebus outta her and makes her downright mad at the same time! :rollingla

The gal in this article just hasn't been motivated properly yet. :wink2: If she's really, really lucky, she'll live the rest of her life "unmotivated" ... Odds are not on her side, though, I don't think ...

We don't know what is in that woman's mind and she seemed to be associated with some type of religious group so perhaps she has made the determination that she will be a martyr for her faith - if she makes that choice consciously and for good reason that is honorable. Christians should remember the many early martyrs who voluntarily went into the arena to be killed rather than take up arms.

However, even a sincere Christian who has made the choice to be a martyr cannot in good conscience make that choice for another person. Nor can one simply stand by while innocents (children, those unable to defend themselves) are hurt and you could do something to stop it.
This woman could just be a dodo but even if I allow that she might be a person of great religious-pacifist conviction it still has limits. Just thought I'd throw that in for your consideration.
