My great grandads anvil and a lot of his farrier equipment and tools are on display at the Cowboy Hall of Fame, or at least they were the last time I was there years ago. I'd love to have them.
Very cool to see them on display. I need to go the CHOF again. Its been many years.

mine is one designed for farriers. I just haven't found the correct spot to put it in the shop building and get the hardie tools. I'm going to retire one of these days, and thought about blacksmithing for a hobby. There have been some classes offered in this at the Pawnee Bill Museum in recent years, so there must still be an interest in it.
My focus would be damascus knife blades.

I found a guy with 30 of them in kansas, I'm going to get one sunday morning
.

30? WOW! He is sitting on a gold mine.
I'll have to admit, that I found mine on the side of the road. I was headed for a shooting match at 3am down I35, had to whiz, and no other vehicles on the road, so pulled over, and almost stumbled over it.
I called it in to ODOT, and the OHP as a found item, but never got a call. It appears to be brand new with no dings, etc on it.

Check out the Saltfork Craftsman Blacksmith Association . They have a tailgate listing of things for sale.

DennisShoddy when you get ready to make damascus. We have a bunch of good guys at theknifegroup.com

I'll check that out. I've had an interest in Damascus ever since watching a guy making knives from 3/4 ton Chevy leaf springs on tv.
