Not near as much as you are an insulting individual to no purpose whatsoever. How do you explain the contents of that referenced thread reflecting what has been discussed for years on this subject? All those Colt owners finding copper under nickel are also deluded? It is a confused person who simply says better to err on the side of caution?

You had to spend a lot of time to find a thread that said what you imagine to be true. Meanwhile Colt, Smith and Wesson and every other firearms manufacturer says they never have plated using copper. Moron.
This subject has been discussed for years and years, any search of Colt/copper/nickel brings up constant discussion on the subject with no effort at all, while you surely can back up your ironclad statement from all US manufacturers with copies of their statements as to never using a copper base for adhesion. Keep up the name calling if it makes you feel like a man. It shows much about you.
I have personally seen and held older S&W revolvers from break-tops to registered magnums to a 3 1/2” model 27 that not only has flashing but bubbling from reported cleavers like old Hoppes 9 or Sweets 7.62.
Debate is good when done for a purpose, such as proper care of firearms, especially collectibles.
Insults are another matter.
Anyone interested in further pursuit of info will have no trouble finding photos of copper under flaking nickel and then make their own call.
