Wife and I short one of these this past weekend at Frontier Justice. Very smooth and accurate pistol. Looking forward to adding one to the collection at some point.

Picked up a Hi-Point carbine in 10mm for a song. Threw a Romeo 5 on it then thought, “I bet that little Covert thermal scope could line up with the Romeo.” Mounted the thermal in a high QD mount and sure enough, it lined up perfectly. Now I can use the red dot in the daytime and throw the thermal on and use them both for night time. I’m thinking this is going to be a raccoon, armadillo, possum killing machine.

@swampratt has never steered me wrong. He brags on his Hi-Points like they are a 20 something trophy wife, though we know they are no beauty queen. That said, I finally got around to sighting this bad boy in this afternoon. Once again, Jeff was right! This thing ate every 10mm load I fed it. Not a single jam.

Once I got it sighted in at 25 yds, I put 12 shots inside the red diamonds. The two shots outside were from sighting it in. I then set up Gatorade jugs at 50 yds and busted every one on the first attempt.

Not a beauty queen and I hate the safety, but beyond that, I’m loving this Hi-Point. There. I said it.

Well, when I moved to OK, I ended up giving a bunch of ammo to friends because the moving company wouldn't transport ammo and my car was already packed pretty full. I had some of that particular ammo for my SKS. When I got moved in, I put a bunch of boxes in a closet but didn't open them. Ended up opening a few the other day, and it had 2 50rd boxes of it in there. I had long figured I had given them to a buddy.
