Anyone ever been to HH Shooting sports in OKC?

It’s not bad like some are saying. It’s huge. Biggest gun store and range in the city. Lots of guns and accessories for sale. Just about anything you could want.

Big boys isn’t bad. It is newer. Is a lot smaller.

As tragic as that is anyone can rent a gun at any range and suicide themselves. Could just as easily happen at Big boys

I’ve been to Big Boys once for the Okshooters get together like 4 + years ago. Been to their original place once like 20+ years ago.

The new place is really nice. Small. But nice. I’d use it if it was closer. As is I’d have to pass H&H just to get to Big boys and it’s 15-20 minutes just to H&H.

Big boys does have a range officer sitting in the room vs one pacing back and forth the outside the viewing windows at H&H.

I’ve had a membership at H&H. Use to shoot once or twice a week. Ammo was a lot cheaper a decade ago. Got to the point I may only shoot 2-4 time a year now so a membership isn’t really worth it.

When I was at Bigboys there was a lot of us firearms enthusiasts and I heard the range officer complimented us on our weapons handling. They are newer cleaner looking. True the lighting is nicer and the ventilation may be better. Main thing is it’s all newer.

Just me imagining, but if a person had their mind made up to check out it wouldn’t matter how close the range officer is. A simple flick of the wrist and cherry pie on the ceiling.

I wouldn’t blame H&H for the self checkouts. They are probably the largest, more advertising, and most popular due to name recognition. Name recognition, I’d attribute that more than anything else for one of these tragic events.

I have enjoyed shooting at Wilshire. Have never rented a machine gun there … but they have that option.

It actually has happened once at BigBoys. Was in 2020. Some guy rented a gun then offed himself with it. I remember seeing it on the news and I remember the employees talking about it because I went into the store shortly after it happened

I would recommend Wilshire gun. Oklahoma machine guns has a little shop inside with lots of MGs to rent.
