Trap guns usually are choked tight, skeet are almost as open as possible.

I'm gonna say I've never fiddled with chokes in my life. I'm not much of the scattergun aficionado, and there's not the world's largest pile of information on these either way

Yeah, but, like I said, I'm out of my element, but how does full choke equal 2 3/4 chamber? The choke didn't really matter to me, I was going to chop it to 18.5 if it was a keeper

You can't open the chamber and put a small tape measure in there? I have a tape measure that is 1/4" wide and totally flexible that can be inserted into a chamber for measurement.
