I can’t get behind it. It’s not the fact it is a Murse, it is that it draws more attention. Women get purses stolen all the time because thieves know that is where the goods are. When I see a Murse it tells me it is either a gun or it has all his valuables in it.
Well they aren't there yet, but I think that's the intended destination

Disagree. I’m from the West Coast where the male purse was popularized. It is a Murse. The word nurse has no gender like flight attendant.

I too am from the west coast and worked in hospitals most of my adult life. A male nurse is a murse. A satchel is a man purse, but no-one actually says satchel, it's called a "beg."
16.5 years of carrying in a murse/satchel,,,
I always wore it with the strap across my shoulders.
No one ever tried to grab the strap away from me,,,
Even if they would have tried to cut/slash the strap and run,,,
The manufacturers of my satchel made it with a steel cable sewn in it.
It's actually the deciding reason for me to buy it in the first place,,,
I worked at a university where satchels, briefcases, fanny packs are very commonplace.
Most people will assume there's a laptop inside of it,,,
Definitely as "stealable" an item as there is,,,
But again, it never happened to me.
It's like any other thing in life,,,
It's a choice so do it or don't do it.
