I used to smoke hookah all the time, though these days I try to avoid nicotine entirely.

It's all about moderation. I haven't smoked out of it in almost a year. But Its not like your typical cigar or cigarette smoke. The smoke doesn't stick on your clothes, it doesn't have a bad odor when smoked, and it doesn't leave an aftertaste in your mouth. In large quantities it can be just as bad as cigarettes, but if you don't smoke all the time it's not as bad. I've smoked it inside before and it's never left an odor.
