I don't care about a settlement. If there is enough money involved to make the attorney happy and I keep my job, that's all I care about.

The settlement after your medical is paid would be for: 1) for lost work/compensation 2) some form of disability and/or maybe something else. But if your due a settlement, and who knows this now, i would advise to not throw it away for a job.

Your job could be over 6 mos after this is over of a multitude of reasons. Then where would you be? My point is don't think that if you give your company some slack you will get some in return.

Get a good lawyer, I worked in a pharmacy and regularly dealt with the trials and tribulations of workers comp patients getting screwed by not being able to get meds they need, etc.

Kinda a shame isnt it? Your employer pays insurance in case you get hurt on his time.... and YOU have to pay a lawyer to get yourself fixed.

Facts you should know.... all those big, pretty buildings you see in every nice town in America... who owns those? Insurance companies. They dont get rich in real estate by paying claims.

As the risk of sounding like some kind of socialist.... Union dues are a LOT cheaper than LAWYERS..............(and until the people of this state wake up and insist the Insurance commision does the will of the PEOPLE it aint gonna get better)
