308 uses a different receiver and there isn't any $50 ones that I've ever seen.

Call Fat boy Tactical in Tulsa or Broken Arrow National Guns. Beyond that, hit up Palmetto State Armory and join their email list. They make really high quality lowers, uppers, all around guns in general. They run deals constantly. I'd buy your entire gun(s) from them if I was you. They are my go to supplier for all things AR15. Arms Unlimited has deals on accessories like muzzle breaks and what not.

Now, quick question before I order. Are there any other lowers that are produced for a 6.8 and a .308 as well that I should look into so I can have matching lower rifles?

I know that FBT has Anderson in 5.56 and .308... they had a whole set up for .308 (upper, lower and hand guard ) for $500ish... not sure about the 6.8

Palmetto has 308 and 5.56 lowers here.

The 308 is a completely different lower than the 5.56 and 6.8, but Palmetto makes both.

If you really want one that says 6.8spc there are a very people that make them. I think RRA is one of them.

I'm not am ember there, so it wont allow me to.

I'm aware the 30 calibers require a different lower - I was basically asking him what he was talking about since he said the upper would determine the caliber.
