For the fans of the AR-7, a brief history.

It was originally made by Armalite and intended to be used as a survival rifle for pilots and aircrews.

Later on it was produced by Charter Arms, who also produced a pistol version.

Today they are made by Henry Rifles.

I have the Henry version. One of these days if I’m lucky I’ll find an Armalite at a gun show.

Not in Oklahoma!
I helped a friend out on a project and out of the blue he thought we needed one and bought a pair of the Henry versions and gifted me one! Surprised me!

I dont see me ever selling it!

Those triggers on them are a bit awful though!

If given a choice I would probably pick a stainless Marlin Pappose though.

Oh, and back in the 80s it was in a Paraflex (I think thats spelled right) and maybe Brigade Quartermasters catalogs that there was ar7 assessories.

If I remember there was a 50rnd elongated drum for the ar7.

I know they had a version of that 50 rounder for the ruger 10/22 also.

Seems to me those 50 rounders was a Mitchel brand item!?!?

My dad has an Armalite that I'll inherit one day.
