But again, she won't carry a .22 Mag.

Your own Model 34 is near perfect for her. If she doesn’t hit him with the first 6 shots he’ll probably be either too far away, or too close for those last 2.

+1 on the 317. I have the 942 Ultra Lite and the 317. The 942 is a good bit heavier, the trigger is gritty and Taurus has already replaced it once for a "bent frame."
The 317 is ridiculously light, accurate and much more fun to shoot. $500 is a great price.

It's a bit out of your way but last month I bought a G47 from HL Sports in McAlester. THey ordered it and was in in less than 24 hours and the price was $25 less than many other place in the Tulsa area. I'd give them a call and see what the time is to get ordered. Worth a try anyways.

I had a smith 317 and hated it, would start having a sticky cylinder after 2-3 shot. I’d go with the stainless 63 if it were me, but they are not cheap at all. Otherwise the 3” lcr 22 is nice enough
