What's the point? Why doesn't he just get a girlfriend or go volunteer at the homeless shelter or take in stray cats? Or is it more like "Look mom I'm on the Internet again!!!" This is just like the guy that pulls the fire alarm and waits outside for the fire trucks to show up. Just what we need more attention whores.
If the point is to educate the Police Departments, wouldn't it be more effective to walk into their station with your visual aids?
I really feel that some of these auditors aren't after education LE and the public. They are in it for a paycheck after they sue the agency that steps on "their rights."

It's good to see that even OUPD didn't run hot to that call. I've never had any interactions with them. You blamed this Tim guy for Edmond PD going code 3 and responding with weapons drawn, escalating force and creating a dangerous situation on the roads and in the park. But OUPD and NPD, both well-trained agencies, clearly disagree that running hot to a simple "man with a gun" call is an appropriate response. OUPD even took the time to observe before making contact. So again, why do you blame the man peacefully walking in the park for Edmond PD's unnecessarily-dangerous response? Just because he did something most people disagree with does not mean he is responsible for how everyone else responds.
Yep. Definitely not all of them. I've read at least one case of an auditor turning down a monetary settlement and just accepting an agreement that the police would change their policy and retrain officers. But I think the ones in it mainly for money are the main thing that bothers me about the practice. A couple $10,000 judgements/settlements a year easily covers their time and expenses, and there's the potential for even bigger checks. I always suspect this is what's behind the ones that are really aggressive. It's as if they want the civil servant to fail. I appreciate that Tim Harper has been polite and respectful in all his videos that I've seen.
