An anywhere else other than a park bud most the people that go there go there just to take their kids to play kids remember what mommy’s and daddy’s tell them when they are young in a few years or so when they are old enough to vote little billy and sister Annie will remember remember when we were little and mommy took us to the park and that bad guy was at the park with all them guns and mommy called the police and saved us? Now they are voting age. I agree with exercising our 2A rights 1000 percent but like others have posted we HAVE to be smarter about it. I’m no genius on figuring out how and I’m not going to write a bunch of BS trying to make it look like I do. We have to be smarter than that

If your goal is to truly educate, why not team up with law enforcement to get a PSA broadcast through local news outlets? Any time gun owners can be seen working with law enforcement is a win, win. This way, those that support gun rights and those that don't, understand the freedoms and laws we enjoy and are educated. The natural progression should be to educate and teach the public before you work a problem. Granted, the problem was not with this man (Tim). It was the fear/concern, understandably, of the uninformed public. Tim's methods got Tim exactly what he was looking for and in some ways he's cut from the same cloth as other (far left) advocates we see nightly on the news.

We should all ask ourselves, "is there ever a time I would call the police if I saw someone carrying an AR pistol?" If the answer is yes, it's probably because you're educated and if the answer is always yes you're not educated.

I agree with absolutely everything you said. Great perspective and balance. Best post yet on this topic.

What's the point? Why doesn't he just get a girlfriend or go volunteer at the homeless shelter or take in stray cats? Or is it more like "Look mom I'm on the Internet again!!!" This is just like the guy that pulls the fire alarm and waits outside for the fire trucks to show up. Just what we need more attention whores.
The attention whore is an idiot, an azzhat, and a walking illustration as to why abortion is sometimes the best road taken.
