Not only do the tone of the comments disappoint me, but the number of people expressing those sentiments is kinda disturbing.

WTF is wrong with those people? I know several people that will pray for them to see the error of the words they speak. I, on the other hand, would just like to choke the living **** out of most of them. I just don't get it, and I never will.

So all the people making the comments are for socialism, yet they have malice in their hearts for a select few. We're getting what we deserve? Hypocrite much?

Remember all the comments about things like New Orleans ise and should have been left to rot? I know several people on Oklahoma forums that have made comments just like that. Our chickens are coming home to roost. But hey intolerance is cool we are all perfect because we live in Oklahoma and our way is the best way right?

Where did those comments come from? We have never experienced fires like yesterday. And the heat this summer was matched in the mid 50's and in the mid 30's, lone before we had cracking, or "global warming". Short memories are great when they don't want to mess with facts.

This. I believe in climate change (though I believe the effects are exaggerated). But I certainly admit that this severity is just a weather pattern; global warming or whatever you want to call it would not create a weather change this severe this quickly (say, 2008 to 2011 and 2012).

I think we are effectively in another dust bowl, but modern crop planting and irrigation and preventative soil management has made it manageable compared to the 1930s. We'll just have to see if it lasts beyond these two most recent summers.
