The left, commies etc that are in office are going to do what they are going to do. I honestly believe it does no good to write or call them, they do not care what you say, think or believe.

At this point in time it is up to each individual to decide for themselves what they will do and how they will respond when the time comes.

Know the hill you will make you stand on. Be ready, be prepared, know and trust in the Lord for your salvation.

An assault weapons ban already passed once, although temporary, don't think that it can't happen again.
The difference between now and then is, there are a lot more people that own AR and AK style weapons than there were in the 90’s when the Clinton ban was voted in. There are also a lot more truly pro second amendment legal groups that are bringing lawsuit after lawsuit to overturn unconstitutional laws. We also have a Supreme Court that so far has shown they are not afraid to take up second amendment cases. Not saying that it won’t happen, but I doubt there is enough support to pass another assault weapons ban.

I know people always say this don’t have any chance of passing; but it does. The tyrants in the senate could easily pass this. We all know it will pass the house. These tyrants will never stop until we are disarmed. And as long as we are too gutless to actually use the 2A for what it was written for we will continue to have our freedoms stripped away one at a time.

If the 2d Amendment is repealed, we might as well repeal the Constitution because there will be no way for the citizens to defend it.

Anyone remember the "Equal Rights Admendment" It was passed by both houses of Congress in 1972, and was sent to the States for ratification by 38 states. It failed to make that number by the deadline in 1982. I cannot believe that any change to any amendment would even do that well in today's climate.

But it does make good political posturing during campaign season.

Yeah... That ain't gonna happen, dude. 38 states to ratify a repeal? No way. That's assuming it could even get to that point.

We have two topics running in the same thread.

The assault weapon ban was only a law, that ran it's course and ended.

It was not a repeal of the Second Amendment, and we are more likely to see snow in Oklahoma this week, than to see a repeal of any Amendment, much less the Second, in our lifetime.

The likelihood of any significant legislation, such as another ban, between now and November is very slim.

But hey, the ban wasn't so bad, it gave us thumb-hole stocks!
