I'd be willing to test it. Take it to court, have it thrown out, record expunged and a lawsuit for unlawful arrest and detention. Bruen has opened up a can of worms for them and even their interpretations are going to have to show historical significance now.
Why does DOJ have anything to do with it? Isn't ATF under the treasury department?

They haven’t seen it that way since the SCOTUS torpedoed the Republic with its disastrous Wickard v. Filburn decision. That basically gave the Feds carte blanc to poke their noses into whatever the hell they want.Absolutely, but that's not how they see it. Therein lies the rub.
I don't think that would be very important. As I'll be their "guest", my appearance in court is a given.
ATF got transferred from Treasury to DOJ early in this century.
They won’t have trouble finding plenty of “just doing my job” cops to be their henchmen.
All this is going to do is drive a black market industry that will out do the alcohol prohibition in the 20's & 30's
