Normal 556 will defeat soft armor? You'd be hard pressed to find very many Leo's who support this.
Most of already know our armor is not designed to stop any rifle rounds

Heard a great comment on this today from a friend of mine.

I was asking him if he had heard of this ban.
He hadn't. Asked me what the F was it about.

Told him that Obummer said that it would penetrate a vest and therefore was bad

He laughed and said "Hell, my 762 will penetrate BOTH sides of the vest."

Laughed my butt off.

This is the main issue IMO. Most .223 will defeat lvl 2 body armor. Hell a .22 mag fired from a rifle will defeat body armor. If you take the BATFEs logic then they claim the power to treat almost all ammo like M855. That is where it gets very dangerous.
