Hmm, I wouldn't say "he who lives by he sword dies by the sword" applies here. That is an admonition that those who engage in acts of violence against others are likely to die the same way. People like Mr. Kyle are certainly aware of that concept, and accept it. He definitely engaged in plenty of violence, and came very close to dying violently several times while he was doing it... I understand he was shot twice and is lucky to be alive... But he somehow made it through it all, quit that life and went home to settle down, only to get murdered by some whacko he was trying to help. If any saying applies here, it is just that "**** happens." Apparently he misjudged just how messed up this dude was. I think Ron Paul is off base saying that it is a bad idea to take someone with PTSD shooting, too. Very few people who have that end up snapping and killing people. It might be prudent to keep a closer eye on them, but if shooting is one of their favorite pastimes and helps them resume as normal of a life as possible, I am all for it. And I say this as one of Dr. Paul's strongest supporters.

We certainly do not have the whole story, and may never understand what happened on that range. What we do know is that an American warrior and his friend were murdered. RP needs to stfu imho.
