My 11-year-old granddaughter is (and looks/acts) just like Autumn. Ellie has been shooting since her 8th birthday, and she is now on the girls' pistol team that I coach. Ellie is my little mechanical engineer... she has been reloading for two years, and she produces high-quality rounds (she observes 5 quality-control steps during the process, and she verifies the COL - [1.125" +/-.004"] - of every single 9mm round). And, without supervision, she can quickly and efficiently disassemble, clean and lubricate, and reassemble my Lee Pro-1000 multi-stage press.
Now, if I could just get Ellie to pay as much attention/dedication to her school work, her mom (my younger daughter) would be happier.
