Minor league or not, dont confuse this with the crappy CHL. The deal with the Barons is that you are going to get a chance to see some NHL quality players and game play.

Never heard of them, but glad to see there's something around here with a higher caliber than what we have in Tulsa. I occasionally watch hockey, but won't waste my time with an Oiler's game; three swats of the puck and they start fighting. Boring and stupid.

You can enjoy a hockey game from any level. Down close to the ice, yeah you can see all the details. Up high, you get a good view of the entire game. I dont really remember how the Cox Center/Myriad is configured, but the mid level seats are the best IMHO... I think thats the 200s.

I agree...that's where I used to sit when I lived in an NHL town. Kicker is some of the 200 level seats fall into the Barons 1st level VIP plan so buyer beware.

I think the 300s are pretty good in the Cox center as well.

200s first level
300s mid level

then the walkway

then the upper level.

Mine are row A in the 300s, which puts you above the heads of all the 200s, and at the front of the section with a ledge in front of you, and high enough to see the whole ice. Good spot to be in, I think.

Went to the opening game last Saturday against Houston. WE LOST. Got out played. There were a couple of good fist fists though. Will probably go to another game or two but was disappointed in the first lose. If I remember, it was 5 to 1.

I'm so happy to see minor league hockey back in OKC, and in the old Myriad to boot! :woohoo1:

When the Blazers went to the Ford Center, I think I went to two games. It's just not the same. :disappoin The seats were about as big as a slice of toast, the damned place is too big and the acoustics aren't quite the same. :nolike:

I love the cozy, homey atmosphere of the Myriad...er...uh...Cox Center. :rolleyes2

Looking forward to some hockey this year. I haven't been to a game in a few years.

I was there for opening night, they got stomped.

It's cool to have a local AHL team, but most of this team is made up of mostly dudes from whoever claimed the title of the last place team last year. Just hope they pick it up, I miss watching Blazers games, they were definitely great filler between baseball seasons.

Plus, if you're farther up, you're closer to the beer. I don't know how you can watch hockey and not have a beer in your hand. Goes together like lamb and tuna fish. I hope to catch several of these games. I liked the Blazers, but the AHL is funner to watch. CHL is too slow. I have been to busy to go to these first couple, but hopefully in the upcoming weeks I'll be able to catch a few games and enjoy a few frosty beverages.
