I just looked at Amazon.com shopping for comfortable hot weather boots and was mystified by the 48 different models. I might want the waterproof one, not interested in the steel toed version, but wonder which one is the most comfortable. Any field test opinions?

I wore these off and on for 4 years, and are still a go to boot for when I'm outdoors. They are really good boots, and were my boot of choice for the sandbox across the pond. However, for a little bit more money, I would go for danner boots. Lifetime warranty, rugged, unbelievably comfortable, and have great support for my feet. I really love the fact that you wear them out, send them back, and get a practically new pair back. Danners however, are pretty heavy when compared to other boots. Especially the danner RAT boots. I would also look into bates boots. Also good stuff.
