Dear god only one person said DEXTER and it took 38 posts to get there. Best show by a mile.

1. Dexter

2. Modern Family
3. Homeland
4. True Blood
5. Top Gear (American)
6. Top Shot
7. Hell on Wheels was good but Dish N screwed me out of season 2 so I hope it is still good.

Best shows on TV?

IMHO there aren't any. Only about 100 channels of crap.

If it weren't for High Speed Internet, I wouldn't have cable.

Just another reason I am considered an Old Phart!

I watch more reruns than anything else, but:

Modern Family
Raising Hope
Simpsons
South Park
Family Guy
King of the Hill
Lockup
Seinfeld
Impractical Jokers (my favorite hidden-camera/prank show ever, my throat hurts from laughing so hard while watching this)
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

While these don't air regularly, though some more than others (especially late at night/early morning) I never miss a chance to watch:

Survivorman
Life (nature doc)
Planet Earth
Blue Planet
Married with Children
Roseanne
Home Improvement

Thank you yes Dexter is awesome.
I left Homeland off and remembered after posting.
I am surprised no one has mentioned American Horror Story. FX is pushing the edge with this one.

I'm glad that nobody said Glee or Dancing with the Stars. I don't have cable nor have I ever. I guess that I'm still hoding out until you can purchase only the channels that you want without the Polka channel, Basket weaving etc. I watch "regular tv" occasionally and it's usually ME tv (memorable entertainment). Most of the shows on here were before my time and several are in blk/wh but to me there is something relaxing about it.
