What a coincidence.

Just yesterday I posted about how I found,,,
A forgotten mini-series in my shelves.

Shogun - What a great watch!

And today, while surfing the MSN site,,,
I stumbled upon a news release and trailer for a new version.

It's scheduled for release on Hulu around February, 2024.

I recognize the face of the Japanese actor who will play Toranaga,,,
Don't know his name but he's been in just about every Samurai movie for the last 20 years.

The 80's mini-series was beautiful,,,
This trailer seems to be more centered around action.

"Last of the Breed" (only non-Western he wrote and my absolute favorite story)
It wasn't the only one. The Walking Drum wasn't a western, being set in 12th century Europe/Asia, and all.

ETA: Last of the Breed was also a partial inspiration, along with The Most Dangerous Game, for Jack Carr's Savage Son.
