Funny some like mixes and some prefer to brew it up- things I've learned over the years-
1- there's nothing worse than cheap liquor- buy a decent brand - Sky/Absolute work for me
2- use a good tasting tomato juice and regular V8 is ok to me
2- use in moderation the ingredients- too much Worchester makes it not good and adding hot sauce should be a little till its where you like it- easy on celery salt- lemon juice- etc
I like maybe an oz of vodka - splash of Worchester- splash of Louisiana hot sauce and a shake or 2 celery salt few drops lemon- 12 oz tomato or reg V8- I bought some sodium free V8 by mistake- it's bad.

In the old days when I use to go to Elks Conventions- they partied from Friday afternoon till Sunday morning when there was a business meeting- there would always be pitchers of bloody mary with the cheapest vodka you can buy and any it was like breathing lighter fluid after you had a couple. I thought man, if fire up a smoke, I may self-explode.
Luckily I gave up just about buying cheap anything these days. Cheap vodka is the worst

I do love a good old fashioned, but I’m a cheater on thoseView attachment 537384
Bulliet actually has a pretty good Old Fashioned premix in a bottle. Includes everything except the orange and cherry garnish. They also have A Manhatten premix that I think is pretty good, but then I've only ever had a Manhatten that way, so I can't really be the judge.

I do remember having a couple last time I was up in Canada that were complete meals. What I remember was a couple large beef jerky, celery of course, a chicken drumstick on a skewer, another with about 20 green beans, topped off with a candy cane. I know there was other non-liquid elements, but I can’t recall. Two of them being plenty.
