I’ve heard good things about the hearing aids from Costco. I think they run between $1,500-2,000.

I was able to upgrade my phone to iOS 18.1 but was unable to complete the hearing test. Tried twice. No go.

6500 thank goodness insurance paid for them but I just got a set a couple months ago.. they are Bluetooth connected to my iPhone .. they are rechargeable.. there is an app when you can make all kinds of personal settings.. I use the restaurant mode alot when I’m out because it knocks out a lot of the background noise when I’m out at a busy place
Been wearing them a few days and a definite improvement.
Rechargeable hearing aids are convenient, but once they no longer accept recharge the batteries are usually not replaceable and you will have to buy new.
I wore them to work today. I can understand speech better with the Airpods than with my expensive hearing aids.
On the downside, the silicone ear tips don't want to stay in my ears. I found out last night that when I yawned the one on the right pops out. By noon today, both wanted to fall out of my ears. Ear tips made of other materials are available and I'll definitely ry some out.
The other weird thing was when I was driving the left ear amplification would drop down for some time then pop back up to normal, then drop down again in a repeating cycle of variable length (in tens of seconds). I think it was trying to suppress the wind noise but was full of fail.
For a version 1 feature it did pretty well. I'm looking for improvements as it matures.
