Bocephus’s Treasure

Ok OSA’ers, I have the boxes back in my possession here in BA, They are pretty much junk leftovers now and I’m thinking they might have run their course after 10 months and been around quite a bit, I talked to one guy that donated one of the footlockers and can’t remember who donated the other and we are thinking that maybe we should offer the boxes up for sale and the money they bring be donated to a charity?
This was kinda my deal after I initially got the first banana box from Bocephus and decided to keep passing it around, it been fun seeing where it went and I’d like to see folks post pics of some of the goodies they got from the boxes during its travels. If anyone has a good reason not to sell them off speak up and we will figure out something but I think we are pretty much done because no one wants to take the time to deliver or pickup the boxes and it’s really becoming a hassle, if anyone has any better ideas, please post them and we will figure it out, if not, I have an offer of $30 for both boxes with the money going to charity

We can do whatever the community as a whole wants to do but from the looks of the current contents I’d say it’s pretty much done, I don’t want ANYONE upset about it and will keep trying to pass it around but it seems no one really had much interest anymore? Everybody is welcome to chime in and let me know what your thoughts are??

I think at this point the boxes are worth more than the content.

I had the boxes a couple months ago, and that was my thought then.

Dam shame too. I put probably well over a hundred bucks worth of stuff in there, back when it was a single box.

Yep, I put in quite a bit of stuff as well and didn’t take out much, I did get a couple of nice knives when I first got the original box from Bocephus, someone posted that it would crater pretty quick but it lasted a good 9-10 months before it did so I’m happy with that.

Sell 'em and it would be nice to see the proceeds go to a youth shooting or hunting organization IMO.

I thought it was great but I kept wanting to put more in, and a lot of the time I had to stop myself taking things I really did not need like some of the old holsters. Did I need them, no. I just have a thing for old leather holsters. I kind of wanted the old spotting scope to but really did not have a need where someone else might.

All in all, it was great and I got rid of some stuff I no longer needed. I was happy to see them gone the 2nd time around.

OK guys, I have not seen any more interest in the boxes so they are officially up for sale, I have the opening offer for $30. Would anyone else like to make an offer?
It is the 2 foot lockers, and the contents that are still in them, there’s not a lot, but there is some usable stuff. Also, since Money is going to charity, I believe I will post them on Facebook marketplace as well thanks again.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Bocephus Treasure Box fiasco ! It ran almost 10 months before it just kinda petered out, an early post said it wouldn’t last a month but they were wrong, I was hoping for a year but it is what it is, the boxes and remains were sold for 30.00 cash and that will be donated to a charity, anyone who ever took the box should chime in with a specific charity they prefer and I’ll take it from there. If anyone ever gets another one started I have some stuff to add and will probably accumulate more as days go by.
