Thanks. I have a lot of tools too but I think my daughters ex (borrowed) my bigger pipe wrench. If I go before my wife I kind of feel sorry for her having to try and sell all my hand tools. :P
I had a load of tools before dealing with my late uncles estate. who seems to horde old and new tools of all sizes and shapes. Im finding tools Ive never seen before. Like vise grip crescent wrenches. Invision a normal adjustable wrench, but with vise grip handle. Thats a new one for me

i was going to tell you to squirt soem WD-40 on it ...but never mind.
Already did that. I got it loose finally. Weirdest one I have ever seen and I have changed several thru the years. The plate was actually really hard plastic around a clamp with a long screw. Of course the screw was facing away from you and hard to get to, not to mention corroded badly.

I ended up having to break the plate then use vise grips on the screw. I could only grip the head of the screw as the rest had a sleeve. Anyway it is off and after dinner I will finish cleaning up the pipe and installing the new diverter spout.
