BREAKING Jimmy Buffett dead at 76

Every time we were in the Margaritaville in Key West there was always the hope that JB would "show up" and hopefully with his side kick, Mac. Unfortunately that fantasy is lost. Last saw him March 4th in Vegas. My wife surprised me with floor level, second row seats. He appeared frail but still put on a wonderfully memorable performance. I am so glad we were able to attend. It feels like we have lost a friend.

He is one of the performers I wish I had seen live. Guess I need to get off my butt and see the others before it is too late.

Being this old, at least I got to see all the great bands in person......

Funny thing--I was just thinking how much I liked the album title Living and Dying in 3/4 Time and wracking my brain to remember which song had that in its lyrics when Nautical Wheelers started up on Radio Margaritaville.



Holy cats, I never noticed it before, but on the album cover, he looks so much like my dad did back in the late '70s that it's not even funny. My dad was closer to 6' tall and his hair was mostly white, and not quite that long, but still...
