there are powder compounds that are in the etn family family that could leave that residue. It kind of reminds me of sulfur match stick and tennis ball bombs. Leaves a white residue. Cannon fuse and other compounds used as such do, too.
There will definitely be evidence left. I've performed many BDAs from all kinds of explosions and even with incendiary devices there are clues and tell tales left behind. I could be wrong as I'm certainly not an expert, but I would say since they were relatively small, direction fragmentary charges with low heat there will be lots of goodies to collect.
