I went to school with Bates...he was a total creep (or weirdo, whichever is worse) then and is probably worse now because his actions are his career.
Story I heard was that he got 'busted' filming Prostitutes and had a personal library of it - only when he got busted did he start saying it was to use for his "Vigilante" work.
If he never got busted he'd just have a gross Spank Bank full of oddities.
