I would personally not buy an AR without a forward assist or dust cover. They are part of the design for a reason. I'd give a 1+ to rolling my own from FBT.

I agree with this, and is my general thought process. However, I have the M&P sport, with some pretty pieces and a nikon p223 bdc scope on it. I love it, and it hits within a minute of a prairie dog within 200 yards. I have beat the hell out of it, drug it through dirt and stuff. Never had a problem. Good ammo, steel garbage, no problems.


I would post a picture of it, but I can't get it to work on my phone. I have a thread somewhere in hunting and fishing with pictures.
