Regarding paperwork - if it's a dealer's table, they'll need you to fill out a 4473 form. If it's a person with a C&R firearm, he/she may need your name and address for their C&R log. In those instances, have your driver's license (or copy of your C&R in the latter case) handy. Otherwise, as someone already said, cash usually is the only paper involved.

I think one of the biggest things I can tell anyone, is bring cash. I have seen so many good deals go South because the guy did not have cash. Many of these guys that have tables, of cool collector guns that are from who knows where are dealing with cash. I have them set up all around me. I see several guys make offers on the same gun, one with cash in hand and others have to go get the cash, guess who gets the gun. Checks, Credit Cards some take but very few.

Yes, and try to be polite. We are all in this together.
