This. Except for in the case of Murder, I am in favor of the death penalty, so the only way to serve the sentence is to die. Sorry, but the victim did not get a second chance, so neither should the killer.

i have a freind that was caught at a very young age taking football bets for a bookie parlay cards and such when they busted him he had quite a bit of his own money at the house too. he made a deal with the DA they keep all they money they found in the house even his money he had to plead guilty to a felony and sentence would be defered ( of course for all his money) 25 years later he owns a pretty large company pays a lot of taxes and has never had so much as a speeding ticket since. you will never convince me he does not have a right to protect his family
I'll state that I think non-violent felonies shouldn't be prosecuted as such until 21, because all kids are stupid at some point...
But after 21, felony is felony. Anything to the contrary is like saying hunters/fishermen aren't responsible for knowing the rules... Ignorance is bliss, but ignorance cannot excuse crime.

Can they? Yeah. Should they? Hell no! They should be hung so we don't have to deal with their a$$ till they die of old age! Maybe then the next murderer will think twice. No free meals and warm place to stay for you dickhead. If a violent felon non murderer wants to sell weapons blueprints the money should go to something good like the police or schools.

Yes--its purpose is to make you think about the laws we have. Under the current laws of the land, we probably wouldn't have had the M1 Carbine or the short-stroke gas piston action because Carbine Williams would very likely have been executed for his crime under the terms of the 1994 "Crime Bill" (I forget the enacted Act's title).
