Ever heard of David Marshall (Carbine),Williams?
At least it went on reasonably well for 45 minutes.
He's exactly why I made this thread.

Ever heard of David Marshall (Carbine),Williams?
and isn't an m1 carbine pretty much a crap design ?
It doesn't do anything very well.
At least a 5.56 vs 7.62 argument has valid arguments for each round.
Flame suit on!!
I'm going against the grain on this one. If a person was convicted, sentenced and served their time, then they have paid their debt. PERIOD. There is no other argument here. I'm also against continually persecuting someone after they have served their time. If their debt is paid, then they should also have their GUARANTEED 2A right reinstated. Nowhere does it say "except for....".
have to disagree with thatFelons should have no rights... Even non-violent felons
My opinion is that if you have been convicted of murder you should be executed. So that's a no.
Is there any point to this wtf question? The law of the land stands.Should an ex-con who did time for murder be able to own, design and manufacture firearms?
Would you buy one if he made a good design, or would you have some sort of reason to abstain?
Yes--its purpose is to make you think about the laws we have. Under the current laws of the land, we probably wouldn't have had the M1 Carbine or the short-stroke gas piston action because Carbine Williams would very likely have been executed for his crime under the terms of the 1994 "Crime Bill" (I forget the enacted Act's title). Is there any point to this wtf question?
