We bought a 1905 Mannlicher pistol about a year ago. I found some very expensive (reloadable) ammo to shoot in it. It shoots fine.
I have the 7.63x21 Mannlicher reloading dies from Buffalo Arms. I have bullets, primer, powder, load data, etc.
The brass is the problem. I was reading about converting 30 Super Carry casings to use in the Mannlicher.
Mannlicher case dimensions: https://old.municion.org/7_63/7_63.htm
30 Super Carry case dimensions: https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2022/07/06/30-super-carry-saami-specs/
They look very, very similar.
My Cartridge Conversions book gives slightly different dimensions for the Mannlicher.
I am planning on buying some 30 Super Carrybrass and trying it out in my Mannlicher dies.
Does anyone see a problem with this?
I could convert 32-20 brass using a lathe, but I am goosy about cutting the extractor groove in soft brass.
Thanks in advance.
