She’s gonna have a small hole in her pelt, I can’t trap her cause I’d go broke driving back and forth to check traps

Cage trap and a cell cam, they're dumb and easy to catch in a cage. Or I know someone who only lives about 15 min away lol. Feb/Jan cats are prime and look so much better than early ones imo.

Yeah this one was chasing ***** last night. But I have pictures of her for the last few years and have seen her twice in day light in the past. This year I am ready to pull the trigger on it, only reason I didnt last year is a 308 would have blown her in half....

I’ve shot one with a 308 and 165 grain Corelokt several years ago, and it didn’t tear the hide up too bad.
The last I heard the going rate for a bobcat around here is around a grand.

Seriously??? A grand? I had no clue the value was that high these days.

I haven't had one done personally, but I've seen many finished mounts in the shop at Smalley's Taxidermy and they all looked great... You could reach out to him and ask for pics of his work?

When I got my bobcat mount, one of my cousins did the taxidermy. It turned out really good. Cost me around $450 about 10 years ago.

I think a grand is very unreasonable. That's the I don't really want to do a cat, price.

I used a guy over by Lake Stanley Draper. Can’t even think of his name right now. I took him 3 cats and the black walnut log. For him to mount the kitten and female, it cost around $650 plus the other cat, but that’s been about 8 years ago now.

I was telling retrieverman earlier that the red fox mount I have is the best I've ever seen. The guy that did it won't do bobcats and said he doubted he ever would.
